ABOUT ME
Throughout my life I have served as an educator: teaching children and teenagers, leading Sunday School for adolescents and college students, directing my own classroom, and instructing at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Additionally, He has gifted me with skills that naturally align with the field of counseling—my second passion. I love extending compassion in my work with clients, walking alongside them in their struggles. The word compassion comes from the Latin meaning “to suffer with,” and that posture guides my practice.
MY MISSION
My heart is committed to helping people discover hope and meaning amid suffering. When people struggle, they often respond by retreating into isolation and self-reliance or by seeking connection and mutual support; my mission is to guide them toward the latter. As a counselor, educator, and podcaster, I continually study God’s Word so I can thoughtfully integrate biblical principles into my teaching, counseling, and conversations.
Ultimately, my goal is to draw people closer to Jesus as they journey through life. I strive to walk alongside them—“to suffer with”—offering compassionate presence and biblical truth that is both encouraging and comforting.
